Owner billing

Charge at 100%. Split at month end.

Enter day rates and extras once against the horse. Stability works out every owner's share for the period and produces the invoices.

What it does

Owner billing & month end

  • Daily rates, written for you

Each night Stability writes the day's location charge for every horse, using your own rates for training, spelling and agistment.

  • Charge several horses

Add one price list item or charge to many horses at once: the same amount each, or one total shared evenly to the cent, with a preview of each owner's split.

  • Split by ownership on the day

Preview applies the ownership on each charge date and rounds so every owner's share adds up to the cent.

  • Stops before mistakes

If a horse isn't owned to exactly 100% on a charge date, preview names it and finalise is refused. Charges already invoiced can't be billed twice.

  • Missed-charge check

Before you finalise, Stability flags horses that look short: a farrier or worming that's due, days with no day rate, a race start with no strapping charge, duplicates and more. Add or dismiss each one.

  • Tax invoice PDFs

Each owner gets a tax invoice PDF with your letterhead, ABN, their share and GST shown.

  • Interim invoices

Bill selected charges before month end without locking the month.

  • Void, credit and fix

Voiding an issued invoice writes a credit note. Unbilled charges can be edited or removed with a reason, and the change stays in the charge history.

  • Close the month

Closing a month blocks further charges and edits for that period. Reopening it is recorded in the audit log.

  • Racing Victoria invoices

Import a Racing Victoria tax invoice as a PDF or CSV. Lines that name a horse are posted to it, and unallocated lines block finalising.

How it works

How month end works

  1. Record charges against the horse. Day rates, vet, farrier, floats and feed go in once.
  2. Ownership changes over time. Shares are tracked by date, so a mid-month sale is billed correctly.
  3. Preview, then finalise. If any horse isn't owned to exactly 100%, the run stops. Charges that have already been invoiced can't be billed twice.

Good to know. Stability shows GST on each invoice. It doesn't give tax advice, so check your own tax treatment with your accountant.
